DESCRIPTION:Grassroots Institute Global Network and Grassroots Journal are facilitating a global\, hybrid summer field school from 10-19 September\, 2022. Below you will find information about the goals\, scope\, and faculties of the event and if you are interested there is a link below to their registration pages! \n\n\nGOAL OF FSc MER 2023\nBuilding perspectives and capacities of young researchers\, PhD students\, teachers\, field practitioners and future leaders on regional mountain ecology\, sustainable development\, local livelihoods and linking world’s climate by integrating principles of biologically inspired solutions. \n\n\n\nGLOBAL SCOPE\nThe natural ecosystems in mountains areas are crucial for the existence of humankind on this planet. FSc MER 2023 program is to cover the contexts of mountain regions globally i.e.\, Himalayas\, Alps\, Andes\, Rockies\, Karakoram\, Pamir\, Carpathian\, Caucasus\, Mount Kenya\, etc. About 40 participants are invited from all over the world to take part in-person and 1000 participants can join virtually on the Zoom. \n\n\n\n\nGLOBAL FACULTIES\nFSc MER 2023 will be delivered in English employing participatory training methodologies with the integration of regional ecological perspectives. Our faculty members are internationally renowned professors\, scientists and professionals who will impart their grounded experiences on respective topics. \nRegistration is currently open! SUMMARY:MtnClim 2022: Science for Decision-Making in Mountains
DESCRIPTION:The MtnClim research conferences are sponsored by the Consortium for Integrated Climate Research in the Western Mountains (CIRMOUNT) and is dedicated to mountain climate sciences and the effects of climate variability on ecosystems\, natural resources\, and conservation in western North American mountains. \nMtnClim conferences feature invited and contributed talks\, poster sessions\, field trips\, and working-group sessions.
