Lecturer in Environmental Conservation & Sustainability

The Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for a full-time (0.88 FTE, academic year – nine month) teaching position. The position will be for a three-year, renewable term. Continued employment beyond the initial three-year appointment is contingent on satisfactory performance and program needs.

The lecturer will be responsible for teaching five units (typically 20 credit hours) per academic year, primarily in the Environmental Conservation and Sustainability (ECS) program. The initial teaching load will include Principles of Sustainability, Sustainable Living – Global Perspectives, Systems Thinking for Sustainable Solutions, and elements of the capstone experience for the ECS major. Courses in subsequent years will be determined based on the successful candidate’s expertise and the needs of the department. The lecturer will advise undergraduates in the ECS program and engage in on-campus and off-campus service activities.

Application review will begin on March 29, 2019
