Sentinel Voices

Fine art, literature, documentary film and new media can help to create and sustain public discourse, build new social networks and foster social change. These approaches can help to develop empathy for and humanize the experiences such as of climate change; highlight social justice and inequalities arise from environmental issues; and validate multiple ways of knowing, experiencing, and responding to key challenges, such as climate change.

Below we share some important works and projects that have brought Sentinel Voices to the forefront. Many, but not all, of these are from mountain regions because we recognize there are other Sentinel Voices that need to be shared. If you have any fine art, literature, videos or other media that we can share, please let us know.
