The Sustainable Summits Nepal team is pleased to let everyone know that the Nepali language version of our film Sustainable Summits, Climate Solutions from the Top of the World is now available on YouTube!
This film was previously released in English, on YouTube, back in 2021. It is an exciting opportunity to use the method of film to bring accessible understandings of sustainable mountain development; and, with the release in Nepali garners a wider, global audience. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the conference to be held in Nepal was not possible. This sparked the initiative to move content digitally in partnership with Climate Alliance of Himalayan Communities (CAHC); the SS21 organizing committee; and the British Embassy in Kathmandu.

Beyond the documentary, SustainableSummits2020 also offers a four part video series tackling topics such as:

  • Balancing development pressures (focus on climate change)
  • Mountains nurturing communities (focus on livelihoods including mountain tourism)
  • Mountains and regional cooperation (big-picture solutions that work)
  • Messages for COP 26 (clear messages of what we need for sustainable mountains)

There is also a podcast available via soundcloud accessible from their website.
